In 1971 J. Michael Oliver was the founder and editor of The New Banner, a nationally-circulated, objectivist/libertarian periodical that fully accepted Rand's philosophical premises, but rejected Ayn Rand’s limited government political concepts, concluding instead that anarcho-capitalism was the logical/practical political position of objectivist philosophy. In 1975 he moved away from a would-be academic career in political philosophy, and became a gold futures market specialist with E.F. Hutton. He continued as a futures specialist with several firms until 1992, when he shifted to market analysis. Today he is a leading voice in the gold and silver markets but he began his career writing The New Libertarianism: Anarcho-Capitalism in 1972.
New Libertarianism: Anarcho-Capitalism
Written in 1972 at the height of the first libertarian wave, J. Michael Oliver’s The New Libertarianism bridges Ayn Rand’s philosophy of reason with Murray Rothbard’s vision of a stateless society. Oliver argued that objectivist principles inevitably lead to anarcho-capitalism—a moral and practical rejection of coercive power. A landmark for anyone exploring how liberty and philosophy converge.
One troy ounce of .999 pure silver, this commemorative round celebrates the life and ideas of Murray N. Rothbard. The obverse features Rothbard’s portrait, engraved with the title he so rightly earned: Enemy of the State. The reverse bears the Ludwig von Mises family crest, encircled by the words Freedom and Peace. A timeless keepsake for admirers of Rothbard and defenders of sound money.
Originally written for Congress by Ron Paul and Lewis Lehrman, The Case for Gold explains why every paper-money experiment ends the same way: inflation, debt, and control. This concise edition makes the moral and economic case for a return to honest money and genuine market discipline.
Murray Rothbard's magnum opus, Man, Economy, and State lays out the full scope of the Austrian framework—value, exchange, production, and market coordination—with unmatched rigor and clarity. This pocket edition makes it easy to carry around in your backpack, briefcase, or purse.
