John, what if I told you we have a rare opportunity this November to defend our democracy from Donald Trump's authoritarian agenda?

Let me explain.

As you know, Trump and his Republican allies orchestrated a power grab in Texas. In August, the GOP redrew congressional district lines to gain five more House seats in the 2026 midterm elections — and now other GOP-led states are racing to follow their lead. They're counting on us to do absolutely nothing about it.

But California has other plans. On November 4th, we have a chance to fight back with Proposition 50.

Prop 50, also known as the Election Rigging Response Act, is a California ballot initiative that lets voters decide whether the state should redraw its own congressional maps to counter Trump's power grab in Texas.

If Republicans steal enough seats through gerrymandering, Trump gets two more years of unchecked power. Two more years to gut climate protections, destroy our First Amendment rights, attack immigrant families, and abandon working communities to corporate polluters.

I refuse to let that happen. And I know you do too.

Proposition 50 gives voters the power to level the playing field. When Trump rigs five seats in Texas, we respond by flipping up to five seats in California.

While the new maps will only be temporary and expire in 2030, they give Democrats a real chance to provide the checks and balances our democracy desperately needs right now.

This is exactly the kind of moment that defines our movement. Do we roll over when bullies abuse their power? Or do we stand up and fight back? I've spent my life choosing to fight. And right now, I need you to be one of the people to fight back, too.

JanePAC is mobilizing every resource we have to ensure California voters know what Prop 50 really is — our best chance to stop Trump from stealing the 2026 elections before they begin.
