Another day, another closed abortion business.

When the abortion facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, closed its doors after the reversal of Roe v. Wade, pro-lifers moved the 40 Days for Life vigil to Planned Parenthood.

Now that Planned Parenthood facility has gone out of business too!

There are no remaining Planned Parenthood locations in Louisiana...

...which becomes the fourth state to rid itself of the abortion chain. The nearest Planned Parenthood center is hundreds of miles away from Baton Rouge.

Now that Planned Parenthood has been federally defunded, it says up to 200 facilities are at risk of closing. That means that there's more low-hanging fruit to be picked!

40 Days for Life volunteers in Basel endured a rainy day...

...and a young man who was upset by their presence. "He accused us of making women in difficult situations feel guilty," said Aurelia, who leads the vigil. "He also said that children shouldn't be born under bad circumstances."

When vigil participants made a compelling case for the dignity of unborn children, the man ran away!

Not everyone was hostile. A woman approached the vigil with a much more positive demeanor, which encouraged the team.

"We thank God for this day and for allowing us to pray for life!" Aurelia said.

Los Angeles, California

Each 40 Days for Life campaign, Fermina's team in Central Los Angeles joins an hour-long prayer walk from a local church to the abortion facility.

"This walk is held twice," Fermina explained. "At the beginning and end of the 40 Days for Life campaign."

Seventy faithful pro-lifers joined the procession.

Jesus said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." Then they abandoned their nets and followed him.

Lord, we pray that you might grant each of us the courage to follow your will, regardless of the personal cost. You made your disciples Simon and Andrew into “fishers of men” so that they could bring other people closer to you. Help us to do the same. We ask that you bless all people in the pro-life movement by reminding them that you are with them. Help them to carry out their earthly mission in a way that reflects your eternal love. Amen.
