Hey John, it’s Abdul.
I want to tell you a little bit about why I’m running for Senate.
As a first-generation American born to Egyptian immigrants and raised in a multi-ethnic household by my father and stepmother, I got to live the American dream.
But growing up, I saw how poverty robbed people of their right to a long, healthy, and prosperous life.
We deserve better.
Life in Michigan should not be this hard, and that’s why I’m running for Senate to change this.
As your senator, I will fight for a government that works for working people, not billionaires or would-be oligarchs.
I’ve done it already here in Michigan — rebuilding Detroit’s health department from bankruptcy, erasing $700 million in medical debt for 300,000 Michiganders, and reducing lead contamination in our schools.
I can bring our fight to D.C. with your help, John.
Will you split a donation of $5 between Democratic Values and our campaign to help us build a movement strong enough to win? Dark money interests are ready to flood this race with cash, and we need to be prepared.
Thank you,
Abdul
