Do you notice anything weird?

Carol is the only woman.

She’s the only person of color.

She’s the only Latina.

Carol is the only non-white male candidate in this race.

That matters. Representation in Congress is still overwhelmingly skewed toward white men, while women, immigrants, and communities of color are left without a seat at the table when critical decisions are being made.

This campaign is about changing that. It’s why organizations like EMILYs List, BOLD PAC, and Latino Victory Fund, as well as local leaders, have endorsed Carol – because they believe in our fight to bring new perspectives and lived experiences to Washington.

We have a tough road ahead. Candidates like Carol don’t get the insider money that her opponents rely on.

We have to build this campaign from the ground up.
