Hello friend,

Conservatives in Congress are refusing to negotiate a deal to fund the government and protect affordable healthcare for millions of middle-class families. If you pay for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act, would you please take a few minutes to fill out this quick survey?

If you have this coverage, you will soon be receiving your health insurance renewal. If Republicans in Congress do not act quickly, your health insurance premiums will increase significantly as of January 1, 2026.

87,000 people in our San Antonio district will see their health care costs increase if Republicans don’t vote to extend critical tax credits.

  • For a 60-year-old couple earning, $82,800 a year, annual premiums will increase by $17,013 or 248%.
  • For a family of four earning $64,000 a year, annual premiums will increase by $2,571 or 203%.
  • For a family of four earning $129,800 a year, annual premiums will increase by $8,844 or 81%.

40,852 people in our San Antonio district will lose health coverage because of Republican policy cuts to Medicaid (also known in Texas as STAR+PLUS).

I'm concerned about Republicans not voting in favor of extending these tax credits. If this happens, approximately 22 million Americans receiving health care tax credits will see their annual healthcare costs increase by $1,000.

Could you fill out this survey please?

Sincerely,
