I’m asking you to hear me out for a few minutes… Can I be honest with you?
When I left the service, I thought I had done the hardest thing I would ever have to do in my entire life. Being a Green Beret was no joke.
Being a father proved otherwise, and being a politician sometimes makes me wish I were back in basic training.
There are a few things that come hand-in-hand with politics that are unbearable; one of them is fundraising.
My parents didn’t raise me to ask others for handouts, but fundraising is one of those things that I have to do; otherwise, my campaign would be dead in its tracks.
