John,
Two weeks ago, Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva won the special
election for the open seat in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District.
She’s said that the first thing she’ll do in office is sign the discharge
petition to force a vote on the release of the Epstein Files — and because
she would be the 218th signer, the petition would immediately succeed.
But so far, Republican Speaker Mike Johnson is refusing to swear her in.

Republicans spent the entire 2024 campaign calling for the release of the
Epstein files. But now that they’re actually in a position to make it
happen, they’re bending over backwards to keep them secret.
They're even willing to deny an entire congressional district
representation in order to protect powerful people who could be named in
the files. Refusing to swear Adelita in isn’t just stopping her from
signing the discharge petition — it’s also stopping her from providing
critical constituent services to her community.
We need Republicans to know they can’t continue to protect the powerful
and deny justice to victims. [ [link removed] ]That’s why I’m asking you to sign on to my
petition demanding Republicans allow Adelita Grijalva to be sworn in and
release the Epstein Files immediately.

In solidarity,
