Dear John,
Last week, CLASP hosted "Meeting the Moment" to reflect on how fundamentally the administration is unraveling basic rules and decency, and how we'll powerfully organize our efforts and resources to protect our nation's multi-racial democracy. It was incredibly encouraging to be joined by so many alumni and supporters with the same mission--to ensure ALL people, workers, and families have what they need to thrive. We know we're going to need to harness everything we have, not just to hold the line, but also to forge a new path, with clarity of purpose, toward an equitable and inclusive future. Thanks to all of you who were able to join us! For those who may have missed it, or for those who would like to look back, here are images from the wonderful event.
We are especially grateful to our powerful panelists for their time and insights:
-
Alice Aluoch; Global Health Council, Lived Experience Consultant, and alum of CLASP's Community Partnership Group (CPG)
-
Emily Andrews; Director of Program Management at the Freedom Together Foundation, and CLASP alum
-
Wendy Cervantes; Director of Immigration and Immigrant Families team at CLASP
-
Pronita Gupta; Senior Fellow at Workshop, and CLASP alum
While the communities we work hard to protect and uplift are facing constant attacks from the current administration, CLASP remains committed to fighting for policies and support systems that center the dignity and autonomy of all people. As we showcased throughout the evening, CLASP is uniquely positioned to speak truth to power and help lead the response our nation needs.
If you did not have a chance to donate at the event, I encourage you to give at the link below. Remember, all gifts made between now and the end of the year will be matched--up to $50,000. Please help us take advantage of this unique opportunity by making each dollar go twice as far.
