In a violent and deeply politicized speech that Trump delivered to the US Navy this past weekend, he made an analogy suggesting that Democrats are bugs that need to be killed.

The dehumanization of political opponents is one of the most important steps for manufacturing consent for violence, and it doesn’t get more on the nose than this.

This comes on the heels of Trump’s declaration of a war against American citizens, where the US military will use American cities as “training grounds.”

The only thing standing in the way of Trump acting out his most violent and authoritarian impulses is our courts, and MAGA is weeks away from seizing one of the most critical courts in the American political system—The Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

If MAGA successfully removes the court’s Democratic justices in their upcoming November reelection, it will be catastrophic. The GOP will carry Pennsylvania in the 2026 midterms and 2028 Presidential election, where Trump suggests he will cross the Rubicon and run for a third term to cement permanent control.

Opportunities to pull our nation back from the brink are running out, and this is one of them. If the election were held today, Democrats would lose, but we have 29 days until Election Day to mount a comeback.

We are not being facetious when we say this is life or death. A loss here could be the end of Democratic power as we know it. However, if millions of Democrats rally around this race, we can still win. Can we count on you to do your own small part and rush a contribution of $50, $25, or even $5?

If you haven’t yet joined the fight, now is the time. Let’s leave nothing on the table this November.
