Dear Neighbors,
President Trump’s “Operation Midway Blitz” in Chicago was supposed to only target criminals, but it’s been reported that about half of the immigrants arrested couldn’t be matched to court records. The surge of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids and detentions have raised serious concerns about community trust, due process, and the safety of our immigrant neighbors across Illinois.
I believe public safety depends on cooperation—not intimidation. When families are afraid to seek help, report crimes, or access services, we are all less safe. I’m speaking up and out against ICE tactics that separate families and endanger the immigrant community.
I want to hear directly from you.
