Team,
I grew up learning from folks who knew how to do a lot with a little. But when DC politicians shutdown the government, that little bit nearly evaporates.
In Mississippi, shutdowns don’t just mean delayed paychecks – it means life-saving healthcare clinics close early, if not permanently. It means the only doctor within 40 miles might stop taking Medicaid patients. It means folks who already live on the margins get shoved even further out, struggling to make out the path ahead to getting through the day.
I’m not running for Senate to play the same partisan football games. I’m running to make sure government works—for us. Not for billionaires. Not for party bosses. I’m running for the folks who are always the first to feel the pain and the last to get relief – folks who feel the constant, back-breaking weight of how to make it from one day to the next.
👉 Help me put an end to the same ol’ DC BS.
What makes this shutdown so dangerous is what MAGA Republicans are demanding: massive cuts to rural healthcare, nutrition programs, and public schools. I’ve talked with folks who need healthcare right now, not someday. I’ve taken my own father on 3-hour round-trips to get basic care-I understand the chronic pains DC is inflicting on Mississippians because my family is facing these same struggles.
Let’s be clear: the people who caused this crisis will be just fine. They’ve got private planes and concierge doctors. But Mississippians? We’re left holding the bill – AGAIN. Let’s shutdown this partisan BS!
