Help keep local pesticide protections in place

Dear friend,

What if your community lost the power to protect local families from toxic pesticides?

That’s exactly what pesticide giants like Bayer-Monsanto are pushing for in the 2025 Farm Bill. Right now, their lobbyists are pressuring Congress to wipe out state and local pesticide laws nationwide – all to shield corporate profits.

Your voice is urgently needed. Tell your representatives: Protect local pesticide laws.

These protections matter. Without them, millions of pounds of harmful pesticides, like cancer-linked glyphosate, could be sprayed near schools, parks and neighborhoods, with no warning and no way for communities to react.

Here’s the situation:

•
Pesticide companies want to protect their pocketbook. If the EPA approves a pesticide label, manufacturers can’t be sued – even if new science shows serious health risks or the approval was based on flawed data.
•
Local laws move faster than federal protections. The EPA reviews pesticides only every 15 years, but states can act much sooner to protect communities. This authority would be stripped away if the pesticide lobbyists and their supporters in Congress get their way.
•
Local protections are essential. Without them, vulnerable communities are at risk. Farmers, workers, children and families near sprayed fields would lose vital protections.

This is nothing more than a pesticide industry power grab – one that sacrifices public health to absolve companies of accountability.

Tell your representatives: Keep local pesticide protections in place. Our families, health and environment are counting on it.
