It’s day six of Trump and Republicans’ government shutdown — and there’s still no sign of them coming back to the table to fix the mess they’ve made.

So I’m calling on Republicans — who hold the majority in both chambers (!!!) — to come back to work, and negotiate a deal that reopens the government AND prevents your health care premiums from doubling.

Donald Trump and Republicans think they can get away with SHUTTING DOWN our government and putting politics above the American people. I won’t let that happen. That’s why I’m calling on 1,500 supporters to join my fight and confirm their opposition to Republicans' latest scheme by adding your name to the petition below. If Republicans refuse to take action, it could mean the difference between hundreds of thousands of Americans having health care coverage or going through life uninsured. 

That’s simply unacceptable. 

Look, Democrats aren’t asking for a lot. But health care is a matter of life and death for many, and this issue must be taken seriously.
