When I came into NARAL seven years ago, the question I got asked the most
was “how are we still fighting these fights?” Especially since we know
that a vast majority of Americans support reproductive freedom.

I set out to find an answer, and what I learned could fill a book! In
fact, it did.

public.

changing world. They gambled that by using abortion, they could silence
the majority who want to see racial and gender equity advance.

We have more voices. They make more noise. And they’ve used that advantage
to falsely claim public support and force their attacks on our freedoms
into law.

It’s long past time to reclaim the narrative that is rightfully ours.

We know the story anti-choice activists and lawmakers want to tell — a
story where women suffer and our fundamental freedoms are trampled. Where
a conservative bloc of Supreme Court justices determines whether our
bodies are ours to control.

We have the power to prevent that reality — to tell a story in which our
rights aren’t up for debate. Because this isn’t a debate. We are the 7 in
10, and we need to act like it.
