Democrats are claiming that Republican tax relief “gutted” Medicaid. That is simply false.
The truth is, tax cuts let working families keep more of what they earn, without cutting care for the vulnerable. Medicaid reforms target waste, fraud, and abuse. Not seniors, children, or the disabled.
This isn’t about slashing coverage—it’s about protecting taxpayers, strengthening programs, and ensuring compassion is sustainable for generations to come.
When President Trump first came into office, 50 million Americans were on Medicaid, which has grown to 80 million. We must not become short-sighted in our spending, but uphold the common-sense reforms that encourage growth.
