Prison Fellowship recently celebrated a special milestone alongside our incarcerated brothers in Montana, and I’d love to share it with you.
Just weeks ago, 15 men became Montana’s very first Prison Fellowship Grow graduates. They stood proudly in graduation caps and gowns as we honored their hard-earned accomplishments at Crossroads Correctional Center.
At in-prison sites nationwide, Grow welcomes those who are ready to consider their lives through the lens of the Gospel message. In Grow, participants and volunteers encounter Jesus together. They develop faith and character in a life-giving, faith-filled community. For everyone involved—incarcerated participants and volunteers alike—the goal of Grow is to experience spiritual growth alongside one another.
This ministry of presence is at the core of what we do. And that ministry is now taking root in Montana, thanks to the generous support of the Gianforte Family Foundation and ongoing partnerships with churches, volunteers, organizations, and agencies.
What a joy it is to celebrate these 15 graduates! Lord willing, they are the first of many in Montana.
Thank you to our volunteers and staff in Montana.
We now have 229 intensive program sites at prisons across the country. There are 198 Prison Fellowship Grow sites and 31 Prison Fellowship Academy sites, with more on the way as God continues to open doors. Will you join me in praying that He will expand and deepen our ministry impact across the country?
For so many, Prison Fellowship provides an important step on their faith journey with Christ. One participant named Anthony told us:
In a community like this program builds, you never have to go it alone. —Anthony
Another named Dion said:
When I graduated, I felt like I was truly ready for society. —Dion
