Have you let your preps deteriorate?
 
Today's article really hits home for me. 
 
Yesterday afternoon, we discovered our storage unit (not the one with preps - the one with our personal stuff) had been invaded by mice. We don't know how bad the damage is, and we hope that most of our stuff is salvageable with a good cleaning, but YUCK. We came home so grossed out that we both immediately took very hot showers.
 
Fast forward to this morning and Fabian has an article on a closely related topic. Have you just stashed your preps away in a basement or closet, and felt like you checked off the box just by owning the items? Have you used your preps? Are you sure they're still usable?
