Friend, My name is Lorenzo Rios. I don’t know if we’ve met before, but I’m putting it all on the line to reach out to you today. These messages cost real money to send, so I’d really appreciate it if you could read all the way to the end!  I’m an immigrant. My parents were migrant farm workers. As a kid, I’d trail behind them down the rows of produce. My friends and I would invent games to stay busy– we thought we were living the dream! What little kid doesn’t want to play outside with his friends all day long? At 12, I started helping my parents pick the crops. My parents always had us up before the sun to get out there– they knew that the first person there would always get the opportunity. I became a US citizen at 18 and then went to basic training with the Marine Corps. They didn’t want to hear my sob story; they wanted me to show them I had what it took to deliver the very best day after day.  In college, I got involved with the
Reserve Officers' Training Corps. I used to think being an Army officer was for rich kids, but in the Army, I learned more about being a leader than I even knew was possible.  I also had the distinct honor of teaching at West Point . The brightest minds are at West Point, and I loved helping shape and mold the minds of our country’s future leaders. But, I’m not in your inbox today just to take you down memory lane. I JUST announced that I’m running for Congress to make sure future generations have all the same opportunities that I had. But I can’t do this alone. I’m humbly asking you to chip in to help me unseat a far-Left California Liberal. And NO donation is too small.
