We’re working to reverse Trump’s cuts to Medicare and Medicaid that are pushing rural hospitals to the brink.
By federal law, undocumented people can only access emergency care. Period.
Boebert has no credibility, especially on healthcare. She sold out working families for billionaires, voted against cancer treatment for veterans, and has voted repeatedly to kick people off their health care — now she’s ripping away the coverage that keeps Colorado’s Eastern Plains alive.
Those votes have real consequences. Lincoln Health, which manages the only hospital in Hugo, a rural town here in Colorado’s 4th, was forced to close its Heritage Assisted Living facility because of Boebert’s Medicaid cuts. Now that same critical-access hospital, one of the only hospitals within an 80-mile radius for rural Coloradans, is fighting to stay open.
If these cuts continue, more rural hospitals across our district could close, leaving entire towns without a single doctor, maternity ward, or emergency room.
I know what care means. When both of my parents had terminal cancer at the same time, I was their caregiver. I lived that struggle — and I will never let a reckless extremist like Boebert rip away the safety net from my rural neighbors.
This is life or death — and we cannot let Boebert’s lies go unanswered.
