down from his elected position to take a cushy role as CEO of the Teacher
Freedom Alliance—a subsidiary of the ultra-funded right-wing Freedom Foundation.

His swift exit comes just months after he was caught accidentally playing porn
during a state Board of Education meeting—on his state-owned computer. This is
the same guy who has baselessly attacked public schools for “promoting
pornography”!

Walters has built his entire career on attacking public education, teachers,
and our students. His move from one extremist perch to another shows us exactly
what we’re up against: a network of far-right groups with endless money,
working to undermine public education nationwide.

We don’t have their corporate war chest. But what we do have is people like
