Howdy comrades!
In the last few weeks, we've mobilized in solidarity with the Global Sumud Fotilla and to commemorate two years of genocide, canvassed to inform our communities about their rights, and continued to showing up in solidarity with UNITE Here. We know action in solidarity overcomes fascism. In this dangerous moment, we must continue to organize to defend Palestine, immigrants, and the working class.

Smash the Walls! Trainings to protect our immigrant communities and city this Saturday, October 11th

With a massive new budget and free rein, ICE is escalating its attacks on immigrant communities and anyone standing up against the deportation machine. In Chicago, ICE detained Black Americans during a raid while zip tying children and handcuffed an alderperson. While Houston's elected leaders sit idly by, the responsibility falls on us to defend our community. Join us for a series of trainings to protect immigrant communities and our city from attack.

UNITE Here strike continues! Join the picket shift, come to City Hall, and donate to our solidarity fund
|
UNITE Here workers at Hilton Americas continue their strike for a $23 wage. Today, we're joining their picket line again. On Tuesday, we join workers at City Hall to demand local politicians turn words into action to ensure workers secure a contract. Over the last month, Houston DSA has mobilized dozens of members and hundreds of people to the picket line. We've served and shared food with the workers. Donate to our Strike Support Fund so we can continue this work for UNITE Here and other unions in Houston.
