Folks, it’s been 5 days — and Republicans still haven’t found it within themselves to work with Democrats on a budget plan to cut costs for families, restore working people’s health care, and reopen the government.

Look, when Republicans passed their budget back in July, they kicked off a series of events that will lead to working families paying 28% more on average for their health care premiums — and up to a stunning 75% increase in out of pocket expenses for folks across the country. Not to mention thousands who will lose coverage for their pre-existing conditions like cancer and Alzheimer’s. 

Who can afford that? 

That’s why we’re asking Republicans to join us in passing a budget that actually makes life more affordable for working people — not less.

Instead, they’ve sat on their hands for weeks, refused to even negotiate with Democrats, and shot down every single attempt we made to fund the government without jacking up costs on Americans.

It’s madness, and it’s clear we need more leaders in the Senate who are willing to stand up to Donald Trump’s nonsense and fight for what matters to working people — not jack up their costs to push the MAGA agenda.
