The failed education bureaucracy in America had its chance to get it right.
And what do we have to show for it? A system that rewards tenure over
performance, promotes victimhood, and lowers standards to paper over failure.
Meanwhile, our children are left to suffer the consequences.
Today, 70% of U.S. 8th graders are NOT proficient in reading. That’s
unacceptable.

first state in the nation to implement merit-based pay for public school
teachers.
Teaching is a noble profession. And if you're a rockstar educator who's
getting results, you can expect to be compensated handsomely for your
excellence. On the other hand, low performers will no longer climb the ladder
like everyone else.
This isn't a partisan issue. This is a common-sense revolution that will
change the future of education.
But the education bureaucracy won't go down without a fight. Neither will the
corrupt teacher's unions. They'll throw everything they've got at us to try and
stop this reform from EVER happening. That's why I need your support.
