Dear John,
I’m no fan of Donald Trump. He’s a racist, sexist, xenophobic, corrupt friend to greedy corporations, as well as his fellow billionaires & oligarchs.
But for whatever reason, his administration doesn’t care for direct U.S. involvement in wars. That could be a lucky break for military families and global peace, since Trump wants to pull troops out from Afghanistan.
But surprise! Nancy Pelosi wants us to keep troops on the ground.
That is outrageous, but unfortunately accurate: A new warmongering House amendment has been co-sponsored by Jason Crow (D) and Liz Cheney (R), daughter of Iraq war architect Dick Cheney—with the support of Pelosi.
This amendment would prohibit spending any money to cut our troops in Afghanistan below 8,000, unless an extremely strict (and unlikely) list of conditions are met.
Pelosi and her minions will probably call us all kinds of names. But I don’t care. A broken clock is right twice a day, and any twisted reasons aside, it’s long past time for our troops to come home.
What both the Democratic establishment and their GOP counterparts don’t want you to know is this: Liz Cheney, Jason Crow, and Pelosi herself all stand to profit from war. Defense contractors are major campaign contributors, and they expect to get their pound of flesh.

War kills. When I fill Nancy Pelosi’s seat, I’ll make sure the Pentagon’s endless wars finally come to an end, and find better ways to spend your tax dollars.
