Donald Trump has signed an Executive Order stripping voter protections, handing power to election deniers, attacking vote-by-mail, and making it harder for states to run their own free and fair elections. Republicans in Texas and other GOP-controlled states are racing to enact unfair maps at his command.

But Democratic governors refuse to stand by and watch. They know that if we don't start taking the GOP’s voter suppression efforts literally and seriously, we won’t have free and fair elections in 2025, 2026, or beyond.

This is why Democratic governors have never been more essential. Electing them is the best way to fight Republican gerrymandering and their attempts to make voting less accessible – they're on the frontlines of this fight and are taking every action they can. But they can’t win this fight alone.
