I’m a dad, grandad, 22-year Army veteran and Aviator, veterans advocate, former small businessman, MeidasTouch podcaster, and candidate for Congress in Missouri’s Second Congressional District. I want you to hear directly from me why I’m getting in this race. It starts with a simple motto. You see, I’ve got one tattoo. It says “I’m not done yet.” It was the theme of my Army retirement speech. Whenever I hit hard times and thought I was all but finished I remembered that line. When I faced difficult challenges in life I dusted myself off and got back in the fight. I’m not done yet.

We’re not done yet. Trump and his cronies like Ann Wagner are using a shock and awe strategy to try to beat us into submission. He’s cracking down on media figures who are critical of him. He’s taking thinly veiled bribes left and right. He’s ripping apart the VA. He’s decimating Medicaid and SNAP. There's not a single part of the Constitution that he respects. Ann Wagner and her Republican colleagues in the House have completely walked away from their Article I duties of oversight, investigation, and the power of the purse to allow Trump and his collaborators to do whatever they want from passing illogical tariffs, to simply cutting funds to projects legally passed by Congress with no push back or resistance. It often feels that America’s challenges are insurmountable. That we’ll never be able to reassemble our democracy or rebuild the American Dream that created the strongest middle class in history. But that’s exactly what Trump wants you to think, Team. As an Army officer, we were taught to lead by example. That’s why I can’t sit on the sidelines. I’m running for Congress so we can flip the House, restore our Constitution, and rebuild the American Dream for all. If we’re going to get America back on track, we can’t run away from tough fights, we have to run toward them.
