Apparently, Mitch McConnell is just fine with Donald Trump ordering the use of tear gas and rubber bullets on peaceful protesters.
He must be -- because when Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer introduced a resolution to condemn the president for his actions, McConnell blocked it.
Schumer decried McConnell’s defense of Trump, saying “every fair-minded American of any political party” would denounce Trump’s actions. But of course, Mitch McConnell has never been fair-minded -- he continues to hold votes on Trump’s judicial nominations instead.
Even with McConnell’s gross partisan hypocrisy being clear, The Cook Political Report still says it’s likely McConnell will keep his seat in November. Do you think that’s fair? Tell us how you’d vote:
