Folks, rural health care providers in communities across Colorado and the nation are terrified of what’s coming down the line from the Republican budget — or the “Big Beautiful Betrayal” as we like to call it.

Right now, rural health care providers and nursing homes are hanging on by their fingertips, working to scrape together the resources they need to stay open and keep providing for their patients as Trump and the Republicans’ massive cuts are looming on the horizon.

In the coming years, 15 MILLION Americans could lose access to their Medicaid coverage. That means millions of people won’t be able to get the health care they need AND our rural clinics and nursing homes won’t be able to earn the funds needed to stay afloat. Millions more will lose their protections against “pre-existing medical conditions.”

And Republicans voted to rip these critical resources away from clinics and working families for what? Just to pay for a lavish tax handout to the wealthiest Americans? Gimme a break.

Look, we’re fighting tooth and nail to restore this vital funding and keep these clinics open because slashing health care funding for millions of people — in the wealthiest country in the world, no less — doesn’t make a lick of sense.
