In just two days, the U.S. Supreme Court begins a new term, one that promises to shape the future of our democracy through pivotal cases on its docket.
Among the first is Louisiana v. Callais, a challenge to fair congressional maps. This case could determine whether voters of color will have their voices heard, or whether politicians can continue drawing maps that lock in their own power.
Another case, NRSC v. FEC, could rip open our campaign finance system and allow unlimited coordination between candidates and political parties. If the justices side with wealthy donors and party bosses, everyday voters will have even less political power.
The Court’s decisions this term will have a lasting impact for generations. That’s why we need to fight back now in the courts, in legislatures, and in communities across the country. But we can’t do it without you.
