That should alarm every conservative in our state.
Friends, we cannot take that lightly.
We’ve seen what happens when Democrats take control. Just look at Horn Lake. The Democrats flipped that city with only 83 votes for mayor.
Eighty-three.
And their very first decision as a new majority? They raised taxes by refusing to cut the millage rate when every other city and the county did. Now families in Horn Lake are facing the highest property tax rate in DeSoto County.
That is the Democrat agenda: higher taxes, more crime, fewer freedoms.
Now they want to take that same playbook and spread it across the rest of DeSoto County and Mississippi. We cannot let that happen. We must stop them this year before they gain any more ground here.
That is why I entered this race: to keep this seat Republican. If Democrats can flip Horn Lake with only 83 votes, they will try the same in November. They want to sneak up on us, flip this seat, and use it as their foothold to flip the entire state blue.
The good news is this: we are ready for this fight. We have a clear plan, a strong message, and a record of success.
Democrats are counting on Republicans not paying attention. That is how they slipped into Horn Lake. That is how they believe they can sneak into this seat.
The stakes could not be higher. This is a fight for the future of DeSoto County, for Mississippi, and for our conservative values.
And it starts right here in our county.
You and I both know what happens when Democrats run things. We cannot let them turn Mississippi into the next failed blue state.
