John — The attacks are already starting.
Ken Paxton personally attacked James. He called him a “lunatic” and accused him of “distorting Christianity.”
The NRSC, the campaign arm of Senate Republicans, has tried to smear James. They claim he’s a radical for supporting things like...universal background checks — which the vast majority of Americans support.
These baseless and absurd smears are why so many people are sick of politics.
Maybe this nonsense is the best our opponents have right now.
But these kinds of attacks tell us one thing for certain: they’re scared of the people-powered movement we’re building.
National Republicans are already rushing in to try to keep Texas rigged.
Right-wing super PACs have pledged at least $10 million already to try to buy this seat.
Soon enough, they will resort to spending millions on ads with complete lies about James. Billionaires and corporate mega-donors are going to line up to fill their war chest to stop our momentum and stop our movement.
They will spend whatever it takes. So it’s our job to have James’ back.
