Earlier this week, Donald Trump and Republicans SHUTDOWN the government — after failing to agree on a funding bill that would put Americans first, and not their tax dollars. 

Now, as Americans are weathering Republicans’ shutdown, Donald Trump took a page out of his authoritarian handbook and sent troops to the streets of Portland. 

Oregonians did not ask for this. 

It’s an abuse of power. It's un-American. And I won’t stand for it.

So tonight, I’m calling on supporters NATIONWIDE – from Salem, to Newberg, to Washington D.C. – to step up and prove that we’re UNITED against Trump and have the momentum to fight back against his MAGA Majority. Trump and Republicans think they can get away with attacking our cities, and undermining our democracy. We will not let that happen. Let’s be clear about what’s going on: 

Donald Trump and his MAGA Majority cut BILLIONS of dollars from health care. 

Then, Republicans pushed the federal government into a FULL shutdown — which could leave thousands of Americans without healthcare or jobs. 

As we speak, folks in Oregon and across the country are already feeling the devastating impacts of the massive spending cuts in the Republican budget. 

But instead of sending resources to help improve the lives of Americans, Donald Trump insists on abusing his power and sending troops into Portland. 

We will not let them get away with any of this. 

I’m doing everything in my power to oppose Trump’s massive federal overreach and defend Oregon families from these attacks — and I need you on board.
