Going to one of the big games? King County Metro connects you to a weekend of Seattle sports
The American League West Champion Seattle Mariners host two games of the American League Divisional Playoffs October 4 and 5. The Seattle Sounders on Saturday, October 4 who host our friends from the south, the Portland Timbers at Lumen Field. On Sunday, October 5 the Seahawks celebrate the franchise’s 50th anniversary as they face off against their expansion “brothers” the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Riders can rely on Metro buses to reach SODO or connect with Sound Transit 1 Line, the Seattle Streetcar and the King County Water Taxi. Together, our expanded network helps everyone — fans, tourists, workers and people out and about on the weekend — get where they need to go safely and comfortably.
Tips and tricks?
- No. 1: Allow extra travel time to get to the ballpark and stadium.
-
No. 2: Plan your trip to the game AND home again in advance. Visit Trip Planner, use the Trip Planner app, or check on when your bus will arrive using One Bus Away. Another way to find the best routes is by calling Metro Customer Service at 206-553-3000 weekdays, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Press 1 for an interpreter.
-
No. 3: Board available transit swiftly after the games let out. It takes some time to get everyone on board and back home, but experienced fans know the drill! Thank you in advance for your patience. Please review your bus schedules and have a backup travel plan.
