Dear Friends,

Donald Trump is the worst president for children we have ever had — taking food and health care away from millions, sabotaging public health and gutting medical research in favor of junk science, denying and exacerbating the climate crisis, racking up trillions in debt on the backs of future generations to give tax breaks to billionaires and shredding our Constitution. 

Congressional Republicans committed to doing Trump’s cruel and corrupt bidding — instead of serving the interests of their own constituents — know that their Big Ugly Law is a non-starter for America’s working families and for our House Democrats. They shut down the government anyway to try to ram through their extremist agenda while refusing to lift a finger to stop massive health insurance premium hikes that will put health care coverage out of reach for millions of Americans. Republicans can say whatever they want but they control the House, the Senate and the White House — they own this shutdown. 

House Democrats are united under the leadership of Hakeem Jeffries — we are not voting for anything that takes away lifesaving health care from America's working families.

Californians know that Republicans in Congress are too extreme to govern and have no interest in actually doing so. Now is our moment to stop their cruelty, chaos and corruption and hold them accountable. California voters will vote Yes on Prop 50 this November as the first order of business to taking back the House in November 2026 and ensuring this is MAGA Republicans’ last term in power. 

Our grassroots Volunteers in Politics are on the phones several times a week to do their part! Our continued efforts to spread the word about Yes on Prop 50 are so important right now, as voters are starting to receive their ballots. To anyone reading this who has not volunteered with us before, there’s no better time than now.

If you are a California voter, look for your ballot in the mail this weekend, take a picture of yourself voting and drop it in the mail as soon as possible. Then, send that picture out to all your friends and family and across your social channels! After that, go through your personal address book and contacts and identify every California voter you know and personally let them know why you’re Voting Yes on Prop 50.
