We need to fight back against Trump’s latest attack on clean energy.
John,
Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans are using their reckless government shutdown as cover to launch an outrageous, illegal attack on America’s clean energy future.
Barely 24 hours into the Republican Shutdown, Trump’s Department of Energy announced plans to cancel $7.5 billion in projects that would strengthen our energy independence, lower electricity bills, and create thousands of good-paying jobs.
Let’s be clear: these projects aren’t partisan. They’re about putting Americans to work, cutting costs for families, and keeping our nation competitive. But Trump and Republicans are deliberately targeting clean energy projects in states where they think it will hurt Democrats.
This is nothing short of weaponizing the federal government against the American people.
SEEC is standing strong to protect these investments in America’s clean energy economy — but we need grassroots supporters like you with us in this fight.
Thanks to your help in 2024, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 119th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand. You can click here to only get our most important messages, or you can unsubscribe.
