Letter from the Mayor

Dear Washingtonians,

One of the most important questions we asked ourselves when putting together the Growth Agenda [ [link removed] ] was: Does this program or investment keep people and families in DC?

That’s because our greatest asset is our people – the people who were born and raised here and those who moved to DC for school or work and then built their lives here. So, as the federal footprint changes in our city, we’re changing with it.

This week, we launched [ [link removed] ]TalentCapital.ai [ [link removed] ], a new regional initiative to connect residents, especially recently displaced workers, with opportunities that keep you in DC. Through the program, we’re offering personalized career coaching and training in fields like AI, data science, and project management. I encourage DC residents who are looking for your next career move to explore the site and see what it offers [ [link removed] ].

We know why so many people love DC. We love our neighborhoods, our kids’ schools, our local businesses, and our faith communities. We love how walkable and bikeable our city is and that we have access to a world-class public transit system. We love the culture that's in our city. DC is resilient (and open [ [link removed] ]), our residents are talented, and together, we will get to the other side of this shifting economy.

Sincerely,

Muriel BowserGrowth Fund
