Last week, Donald Trump signed an order that should make the skin of all Americans crawl.

Titled NSPM-7, short for National Security Presidential Memorandum 7, orders the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force to investigate “networks, entities, and organizations that foment political violence.” The order lists opinions that government agents should use to spy on, investigate, and persecute Americans for:

This order is so ambiguous and leaves such room for interpretation that federal agents could conduct mass-arrests and imprison liberal minded people for crimes as innocuous as expressing commonly held beliefs on Facebook. 

It’s but another escalation in Trump’s war to implement fascism and destroy the Democratic Party, and sadly, it’s about to get even worse:

In November 2025, Pennsylvanians will head to the polls to vote in their upcoming 2025 Supreme Court Election. A typically sleepy affair which has exploded into the closest watched race of 2025. 

The stakes couldn’t be higher. If Democrats lose and Trump seizes this court, we will never win Pennsylvania in an election again, not in 2026 and not in 2028  - 19 electoral college votes squandered for the next decade and beyond.

Defend Our Courts is locked into a life or death battle of wills with the National GOP who have launched a full court press to seize this court and are treating this court race like a presidential election. 

We are doing everything in our power to hold the line but we are being outspent 10 to 1.
