No one has lost their Social Security, Medicare, or veterans’ benefits in spite of constant media and leftist lies. Day 3 It’s Day 3 of the Schumer Shutdown. In spite of speculation that some retiring Democrats might break ranks, another vote to reopen the government failed this afternoon—again because the overwhelming majority of Democrats voted no. Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi blasted Republicans yesterday, blaming them for every government shutdown. She also said, “They don’t believe in government. . . So, for them, a shutdown is a day at the beach. They love it.” Well, that makes sense. Republicans don’t like government! But there’s just one problem. Every day, Pelosi and her party have been telling us that “Donald Trump is Hitler” and a “dictator.” Have you ever heard of a dictatorship that didn’t involve big government?! Lies Of The Left Democrats continue to claim that they are not shutting down the government over healthcare for illegal aliens. That’s a lie. They are all in on open borders and all in on giving illegal aliens taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits. Again, don’t take my word for it. Let’s roll the tape. During the 2020 presidential debates, the Democrat candidates were asked if their healthcare plans would cover illegal aliens. Every single candidate, all ten of them, including Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, and Pete Buttigieg, said yes. These are the party leaders, so, naturally, their views reflect those of rank-and-file Democrats in Congress. Their positions haven’t changed. Nothing has changed for Democrats—except they are no longer in power. And they are furious that Donald Trump is rolling back their efforts to “fundamentally transform America.” Netflix Nonsense I have argued repeatedly that the 2015 Supreme Court decision redefining marriage opened up Pandora’s Box and released a flood of confusion and unintended consequences. Unable to define what marriage is, establishment elites suddenly became confused and were unable to define what a woman is. (Here and here.) This transgender insanity became a national epidemic during the Biden/Harris regime. Biden praised transgender activism at least twice in his State of the Union addresses. His administration pushed it on our children in the public schools and forced young female athletes to share locker rooms with sick men. Thankfully, the Trump administration is getting transgender ideology out of government policy. The administration is fighting on all kinds of fronts, but it can’t fight on every front—especially the one in your home. Yes, your home is a major battlefield in America’s cultural war for the hearts and minds of our children. The latest obscenity from Netflix involves a cartoon advertised for 7-year-old kids that promotes radical transgender ideology. Many parents are furious, and Elon Musk is leading an effort to boycott Netflix. It’s difficult to boycott Netflix given its dominance in the streaming wars. But if anyone can do it successfully, it would be Musk. The sad reality is that no streaming channel is safe for young children. Parents and grandparents must either closely monitor what is being watched or just keep our children and grandchildren off the screens. A screen is a poor substitute for a parent. It cannot take care of anything the way it should be taken care of. This is yet another reminder that our children are our responsibility, and we must fight for them. Conservative activist Mary Katherine Ham noted that parents in the Washington, D.C., suburbs trying to protect their elementary-aged children from transgender indoctrination had to take the battle all the way to the Supreme Court! Again, this is not a minor issue. This is the battle for our children that I have been warning about for decades. It is more important than marginal tax rates, tariffs, and just anything else you can think of. “Broken Britain” The Yom Kippur attack on a synagogue in Manchester, England, yesterday was shocking. Police have identified the perpetrator of this horrific violence—Jihad Al-Shamie. Yes, that is his real name. He is described as a “35-year-old British national of Syrian descent.” But adding to the horror and terror of the attack itself was what happened next. Just like the October 7th attack on Israel, this attack on a Manchester synagogue ignited an ugly outburst of antisemitism in the streets of Great Britain. A mob formed last night outside of left-wing Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s residence at 10 Downing Street. They were waving Palestinian flags and chanting antisemitic slogans. One protester was heard by the media yelling, “I don’t give a f--k about the Jewish community right now!” Conservative populist leader Nigel Farage, who has been smeared by Starmer as a “racist” and “the enemy,” responded powerfully to yesterday’s atrocities. He said: “The scenes of Jewish people being butchered on the streets of Manchester yesterday, I think, have shocked many of us deeply, deeply to the core. . . But it’s worse than that. It’s bigger than that. It’s deeper than that. . . “Within just a few hours of this horrific incident, we saw in London, Glasgow, and elsewhere pro-Palestinian flags on the streets, people out, previously unplanned, demonstrating. But here’s the truth of it. They weren’t demonstrating. They were actually celebrating. . . “I hope all of you watching this video are outraged. Outraged and, frankly, frightened. This is ‘Broken Britain.’ This is evidence of societal breakdown. . . “Will this prime minister do anything about it? No. In fact, he’s emboldened these people by his recognition of Palestine two weeks ago.” Farage is absolutely right. Decades of leftist policies have turned Great Britain into Broken Britain. Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher must be rolling over in their graves. Antisemitism On The Rise Meanwhile, here at home, we are seeing more and more evidence that antisemitism is on the rise. President Trump is doing everything he can to fight it. He is aggressively going after colleges and universities that are centers of indoctrination and incubators of antisemitism. Complying with President Trump’s executive order combating antisemitism, Northwestern University announced in March that all students would have to watch anti-bias training videos on antisemitism as well as Islamophobia. But at least 300 Northwestern students refused to watch the video on antisemitism. To its credit, Northwestern’s administration has refused to allow the students to register for fall classes, essentially kicking them out. Who are these students?! If any of them are here on foreign student visas, they should be immediately kicked out of our country! Antisemitism isn’t isolated to our college campuses. You can find it in corporate America, too. Microsoft recently “ceased and disabled a set of services to a unit within the Israel Ministry of Defense.” Why? Because the IDF was monitoring communications inside Gaza. Microsoft President Brad Smith told his employees, “We do not provide technology to facilitate mass surveillance of civilians. We have applied this principle in every country around the world.” With one big exception—communist China. Once again, Israel is being held to a different standard. Another One Bites The Dust Every day since Charlie Kirk’s assassination, we’ve seen doctors, teachers, corporate executives, government bureaucrats, etc., etc., engage in hateful, vicious rhetoric against Kirk and even his wife and children. Ironically, all their bile is aimed at a man who was committed to open and respectful debate. Well, another radical leftist, a college professor, just paid a price for his hatred. And he’s no ordinary professor. This is Michael Mann, the Vice Provost for Climate Science, Policy, and Action at the University of Pennsylvania. You know—a scientist—the kind of person we’re told knows the truth and someone we must always trust without question. A notorious climate change alarmist, Mann mocked Charlie Kirk’s bloody assassination as “white on white violence” and reposted a comment that called Kirk “the head of Trump’s Hitler Youth.” Unwilling to temper his hate or “advocacy work,” as he put it, Mann embraced his bias and resigned as vice provost, a “nonpartisan role” that demanded “institutional neutrality.” Hollywood Hypocrites A new organization has been formed to fight government censorship. In a statement, the Committee for the First Amendment declared: “The federal government is once again engaged in a coordinated campaign to silence critics in the government, the media, the judiciary, academia, and the entertainment industry. We refuse to stand by and let that happen. Free speech and free expression are the inalienable rights of every American of all backgrounds and political beliefs.” Sounds great. But don’t get your hopes up. This group isn’t against all government censorship. This is an anti-Trump cabal led by Jane Fonda. She and hundreds of her far-left friends had nothing to say about Joe Biden and the Deep State censoring Americans and the media. But they think Donald Trump is “a danger to our democracy.” Their hypocrisy is off the charts.
