A Song of Repentance & Hope for Our Nation
Dear Friends,
I am so excited to share a song that has touched me deeply since I heard it earlier this year. As we prepare for America Reads the Bible (April 18-25,2026), I believe God has given us a song for this national moment that can help us put into words what we are all feeling and experiencing together.
My friend and worship leader Phil King from Amarillo, Texas, has written an anthem “Heal Our Land,” and we proactively produced the video for it along with director Josh Franer. It wasn’t supposed to be released until January, but in this national moment when many of us are still grieving the recent assassination of our Christian brother Charlie Kirk and we are all witnessing rising violence in schools and churches across the nation, the song offers a timely call to seek God’s mercy and renewal. We decided the time is now!
We are excited to announce that we chose this impactful song as the official anthem for this historic event. Phil will be performing it live during our opening celebration in Washington, D.C., and his family will be joining us as we read the Bible together from Genesis to Revelation.
This powerful song is a prayer of repentance for our nation, reminding us to turn back to God and His Word and then to move forward in FAITH.
