On Tuesday, Republicans in Washington showed their true colors once more.

Instead of providing critical funding to ensure that millions of Americans aren’t kicked off their health care, they opted to shut down the federal government.

And now, upwards of 750,000 federal workers are at risk of being furloughed, grinding to a halt critical services that millions of Americans rely on.

This is exactly why we’re in this fight.

Because Republicans are so hell-bent on appeasing their billionaire donors at the expense of American families that they’d rather shut down the government than fully fund Medicare and Medicaid.

Because unless we act, working Americans and Wisconsinites will continue to face rising health care costs, skyrocketing premiums, and lower quality care.

Because until we unseat Derrick Van Orden, flip WI-03 blue, and take back the House majority, the health and safety of the American people will be nothing more than a bargaining chip for MAGA Republicans in Congress.
