Shut Down the Duopoly

Did we need one more example of disfunction coming from our 2 party system? No, but disfunction seems like all our politics seem to be interested in producing these days. Our media and algorithms incentivize everyone involved to chose a tribe and demonstrate their rigid devotion. This problem has been a long time coming and nothing is going to change our national politics overnight, but the answer is right in our own communities.

We need to elect people locally that believe in working together regardless of party labels, that put their loyalty to their constituents over their loyalty to their party leadership, and that put aside old grievances to focus on making our government function again. That's what we're working on. Next year we'd like to field several viable State House Candidates and victories there can lead to a more fair system for non-major party candidates overall.

This is our 4th election cycle as a party and we're proud of progress we've made. We're proud of all the candidates, and elected officials we've worked with and all the volunteers that worked to support them. This year is especially important. We have a great lineup of affiliated candidates and a great opportunity to show the value our endorsement brings.

Supporting them = supporting us = supporting a system based on  solutions not dysfunction.
