Boebert and Nancy Mace teamed up to protect one of the most hollowed spaces in the capitol—the women’s restroom.
John,
Lauren Boebert just took to social media to blame Democrats for causing the shut down—a herculean task given Republicans control the White House and both chambers of Congress.
But of course Boebert had to also sprinkle her post with hate and transphobia.
Commenting on a video from Congresswoman Sarah McBride (D-DE), the first trans Congresswoman, Boebert purposefully misgendered her by calling her “bro.”
Congresswoman McBride clapped back:
Earlier this year, Boebert and Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) teamed up to protect one of the most hollowed spaces in the capitol from trans people—the women’s restroom.
After she thought she saw McBride walking into a restroom at the Capitol, her and Mace stormed the bathroom, desperate for a confrontation only to accuse the wrong person - a random woman who had no idea what was going on.
This epitomizes the depravity of MAGA’s transphobia - members of Congress taking time out of their day to inspect women entering the bathroom out of transphobic hysteria instead of working on solutions to our nation's ever growing list of problems.
When I get to Congress, I promise to spend more time working on solutions for Coloradans than policing bathrooms.
