Donald Trump is embarrassing our country on the world stage.
At the United Nations General Assembly last week, instead of using the moment to lead and bring us closer to our allies, Trump used the opportunity to tell our allies they’re “going to hell” and called climate change the “biggest con job in the world.”
And now, after literally rolling out the red carpet for Putin just last month, he’s changed his stance on Russia’s devastating war in Ukraine because Putin bruised his ego. Trump’s flip-flopping on Putin is not only a national embarrassment, but it risks driving our national security into the ground.
America is at its best when our alliances are strong.
When we retreat and isolate ourselves from the world, it hurts our economy and makes us less safe at home. The president is failing to lead at a critical moment.
I spent my life in service to this country. I served three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. My time in service taught me that responsibility and accountability is fundamental to leadership — and that starts at the top. That's not the leadership we have right now.
It’s time to elect leaders who will bring us closer to our allies, not drive us apart. Will you pitch in right now to help us build the coalition that will stand up and protect our democracy?
