Now — a quick update on the Trump Shutdown.

Republicans shut down the government and left DC instead of saving healthcare coverage for millions of Americans. Democrats are fighting to lower costs for our families, while the GOP is shutting down the government just to protect tax breaks for billionaires. It’s open season for corruption in Trump’s DC.

Let’s be clear:

Control of the House: Republican.

Control of the Senate: Republican.

Control of the White House: Republican.

Don’t listen to Donald Trump and Mike Johnson when they try to cast blame elsewhere. My Dem colleagues and I have been standing ready to negotiate. But what we WON’T do is sell out Americans with the brutal budget cuts the GOP is trying to make to the programs that make already-skyrocketing healthcare costs manageable for our families.

This is a dark time in our government, but rest assured that my colleagues and I will continue fighting for you. I’ll keep you posted as this government shutdown takes shape with resources, updates, and news.
