It's official! 130 of us are gathering this November 13–16 in Santa Fe, NM for Making Money Make Change 2025. Together, we’re choosing to meet this moment with vulnerability, political clarity, and the courage to transform.
At a time when it feels safer and easier to say no, so many of us are saying yes. We’re choosing to show up for our movement, for each other, and the piece we so often forget, our own personal transformation as young people with wealth. It takes all three of these to make change possible. ♻️
Through incredible efforts from our team and you all inviting your friends, your cousins, your community members, we have...
* 🌱 Over 50% are attending MMMC for the very first time
* ✊ Over 20% identify as BIPOC
* 💸 Over 40% are high-net-wealth members
* 🌟 And so many are stepping up to take on pod leadership
And we’re not moving alone. We’ll be learning, strategizing, and building hand in hand with movement partners across the left ecosystem , including Detroit Action, Ella Baker Center, Grassroots International, Mosaic Eye Collective, Movement 4 Black Lives, New Economy Coalition, Olé, PISAB, Popular Democracy, SURJ, Third Wave Fund, and Thousand Currents (to name just a few).
This November, we welcome new and returning members alike into a long lineage of young people with wealth who refuse to accept the world as it is—and who believe in building a future where everyone has enough. 💜
The Way Through is Together: A Wealthy Class Traitor’s Guide to Solidarity Under Fascism
Thursday November 6, 7-8:30 ET/ 4-5:30 PT
We’re living in a moment where the government is targeting social movements and harming our friends and neighbors. As young people with wealth, we receive messages that we’ll stay safe by staying on the sidelines– but at Resource Generation, we know that true safety comes from defecting from the systems of extraction and white supremacy that uphold fascism and building something new together. This call is an open invitation to build community, ask honest questions, and learn how multiracial young people with wealth can take bold, collective action. Together, we’ll explore what it looks like to join cross-class movements, get support to make a giving commitment, and root ourselves for the journey ahead.

CHAPTER UPDATES
LA Chinatown community elder Eugene Moy shares knowledge about the forces shaping Chinatown into the neighborhood it is today to a group of people standing outside a large housing development. [[link removed]] Los Angeles Chapter
Recent Organizer Praxis graduates from the Los Angeles chapter kicked off a campaign to put what they learned in Praxis to action and fundraise for LA Chinatown’s first Community Land Trust - an effort to put land in the hands of poor and working-class community members who prioritize affordability and livability of housing over profit.
Our first event featured a walking tour of the neighborhood, led by local community leaders from the LA Chinatown Community Land Trust. They shared stories of Chinatown’s past and present, with a focus on gentrification and displacement. The event then segued into an RG 101 presentation for attendees, many of whom were new to RG. We ended with two of our lead organizers sharing their money stories and reasons for joining the campaign.
Around 50 people showed up to our event! Strangers bonded over yummy Chinese food from local business Jade Wok and a shared interest in a more equitable Chinatown for all. Our team is gearing up to fundraise a remaining $227k of our overall $450k over the next few months!

NYC - Base Building
RG NYC is excited to kick off fall Praxis this month - a small group program where participants meet regularly to discuss political education, share stories and make redistribution plans for the upcoming year.
In August, we hosted our every-other-month all-chapter meeting (we do potlucks on alternating months), and our Moving Money Circle led part 1 of a 2-part Transformative Investing training.
Coming up, our Abolition Circle is preparing for a clemency rally with chapter partner Release Aging People in Prison and our Climate Justice Circle is getting ready to support chapter partner NY Renews at their Climate Week event.
Resource Generation is 95% funded by members like you —young people with wealth organizing to redistribute land, wealth, and power.
We encourage you to consider joining RG as a dues-paying member [[link removed]] , and if you would like to get involved in your local chapter, please fill out this intake form [[link removed]] !
