Funding expired, Republicans put forward a clean 7-week extension to keep the government open, but Democrats, led by Chuck Schumer, BLOCKED it.
Instead, they DEMANDED:
❌$50 billion in cuts to rural hospitals ❌
❌Looser Medicaid rules that invite fraud and abuse ❌
❌New limits on President Trump’s authority ❌
This wasn’t about keeping the lights on; it was about forcing through a partisan agenda. Republicans were ready to govern responsibly. Democrats were ready to shut it down.
I’ll keep it simple: We can’t let them take back the Senate majority. There’s too much at risk.
