BREAKING: The Fair Future Act just passed through committee this week and is headed to the Pennsylvania House floor for a vote as soon as next week and your voice could make the difference.

Right now, more than 70,000 Pennsylvanians with past drug distribution convictions are blocked from renting a home because of an outdated law that allows landlords to deny them housing — even if the conviction was decades ago. This is unjust and unfair.

Stable housing is one of the most effective ways to improve public safety. This barrier doesn’t just punish people long after they’ve served their sentence — it fuels homelessness, unemployment, and re-incarceration.

The Fair Future Act would finally end this discriminatory policy by:

• Creating a clear, consistent process for landlords and applicants
• Strengthening public safety through stable reentry
