Less than six hours after Trump put the entire world on notice that he would be federalizing Oregon’s National Guard, Oregon AG Dan Rayfield filed a lawsuit. 

The law is clear, and the President has overstepped his authority. 

The state of Oregon and the City of Portland will appear in court this morning for a hearing on our motion for a temporary restraining order — putting an immediate halt on any troops entering our streets. 

Quick action and close coordination on the part of Governor Kotek and AG Rayfield is the kind of leadership we need and deserve here in Oregon. While Republicans sow division and cause problems, Dan and Tina are standing up and focusing on solutions.
