Democrat,
Trump and the NJGOP are once again turning their backs on New Jersey families and raising the cost of our healthcare. In this economy? Come on.
For months, Trump and Republicans refused to negotiate in good faith to keep the government open, and now over 513,000 New Jerseyans will see their healthcare premiums skyrocket because Trump is using us as political pawns. When asked who he thinks is to blame for this shutdown, Jack Ciattarelli tried to point fingers at Mikie after initially saying “I don’t know enough about the details.” Well, Jack, the voters know. This shutdown is Trump and the GOP's to own.
Democrats are ready to reopen the government when Republicans are willing to come to the table. The American people can’t afford to lose their healthcare because Republicans don’t want to do their jobs.
In times like these, we need leaders like Mikie Sherrill who are clear-eyed in their mission to deliver for our state and stand tough against the chaos of the Trump administration. There’s only a month to go until Election Day and vote-by-mail ballots are being sent out. Check out our voter resources page and make a plan to vote today.
— Chairman LeRoy J. Jones, Jr.

Mikie earned the nickname “the tunnel-obsessed congresswoman” because of her relentless commitment to getting the Gateway Tunnel funded and built. She delivered on this campaign promise, securing a full funding agreement for the nation’s most significant infrastructure project. Not only will this project improve quality of life by being a reliable and safe form of transportation, it will also be a huge economic boost in our region, creating 95,000 jobs and generating $42.8 billion in economic activity.
Of course, if it’s good for the economy and good for families, the Trump administration is going to attack it. This week, senior Trump administration official Russ Vought froze funding. As governor, Mikie will not let up in her pursuit to get this tunnel built. Meanwhile, Jack says there’s nothing he disagrees with the president on and the only solution he had at the debate to address transportation concerns was cutting services. Mikie is the leader we need in this fight to get this project done, not 100% MAGA Jack.

“Taxes are on the table, but I’d be careful of millionaire’s taxes. They’re employing us.”
Who said that shocking statement? None other than Jack Ciattarelli’s running mate James Gannon at the Lieutenant Governor’s debate this week. This is no gaffe. This is Jack’s agenda.
Gannon said the quiet part out loud of what a Ciattarelli-Gannon administration would look like. They answer to the richest people in America, meanwhile working families pay the price. This admission is right in line with Jack’s record, which includes voting to raise taxes at every level of government he’s served and voting against $1 billion in property tax relief for New Jersey residents. Jack and Jim will raise your taxes and don’t care who knows it.
“How important do you think Black and Hispanic voters are to your winning your campaign?”
Jack: “Okay, next question?”
When someone tells you who they are, believe them. We already knew Jack doesn’t care to listen to the concerns of New Jersey voters. But this flippant dismissal of an important question at a recent event is indefensible. On November 4, Jack will find out what happens when you dismiss Black and Hispanic New Jerseyans.

NJ Veterans Stand with Mikie After Unlawful Release of Military Records
Veterans throughout New Jersey and our country are appalled at the fact that, at a Jack operative's request, the Trump administration unlawfully released unredacted service records containing Mikie’s personal information, including her Social Security number.
Read the NJDSC Veterans Caucus statement here:
“As veterans who swore to protect this nation, we are outraged by the unlawful release of Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill’s unredacted military records requested by Jack Ciattarelli’s campaign and enabled by the Trump-era National Archives.
Releasing a veteran’s personal information is not just reckless, it’s unlawful. It weaponizes institutions meant to be neutral and violates the trust every service member places in our government.
This isn’t about politics. It’s about protecting the dignity and privacy of every veteran. If it can happen to Mikie Sherrill, a Navy veteran and public servant, it can happen to any of us.
We strongly condemn this attack and Jack Ciattarelli’s shameful complicity. Veterans’ service is not a political tool, it’s a sacred commitment.
We stand with Mikie. And we call on all New Jerseyans to do the same.”
